Our Story
Fun Fun Laksa is the culmination of determination, dedication and yearning for the taste of home from former national badminton player, Tan Wee Gieen.
As a national athlete, travelling the world was always on the cards, but little did he know that he would exchange his racquet for a ladle. While spending time abroad, he found nothing could replace the familiar flavours that warm and comfort the soul. Driven by the love of his favourite dish and a dash of his competitive spirit, he poured his heart into crafting a laksa with a distinctive flavour that was uniquely his.

Wee Gieen’s culinary experience may have been close to none, but that didn’t put a damper on his involvement in selecting ingredients, preparing them and perfecting the recipe we serve today.
After two years of research, trials, and adjustments, our signature ingredients of onion, garlic, chilli, turmeric, and dried chilli have been transformed into a bowl of nuanced delight—a sour and spicy coconut broth that tickles the tastebuds and leaves you wanting more.
We hope you find as much enjoyment in savouring our laksa as we had on our journey of creating it.
